Calumet County is the second fastest growing county in Wisconsin, which means business opportunities are plentiful. We are conveniently located 25 minutes from Green Bay, Manitowoc and Appleton, in a region with a labor force of nearly 800,000 people within 50 mile radius. We are a growing area; our region has grown 12.8% since 2000 (twice as fast as Wisconsin as a whole, and 19% above the national average), making us one of the largest and fastest-growing regions in the state.
Manufacturing accounts for approximately 30% of all jobs in Calumet County and Brillion is home to several well known companies such as Ariens, Brillion Iron Works, Endries, and Professional Plating.
Our Partners and ServicesBrillion is a member of the Fox Cities Regional Partnership (FCRP), an economic development organization serving all of Calumet County, Outagamie County, and the northern portion of Winnebago County. FCRP is Brillion's primary economic development organization. FCRP focuses their services on industry, specializes in business retention and expansion, and works with site selectors to bring businesses to the area that support the region's major industry clusters. Clusters targeted are: manufacturing; food processing; regional offices; and transportation. Visit their site for a list of available properties.
In addition to being served by the FCRP, Brillion is also served by the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC). WEDC is a statewide economic development corporation which can offer business incentives in the form of tax credits, grants, training dollars, and other incentive packages. They also provide brownfield and community development services.
NEW NORTH, a regional economic development organization serving 18 counties, also provides services to the residents and businesses in Brillion. NEW NORTH provides business and talent development services. NEW NORTH serves a larger region that FCRP, and therefore targets more industries. The targeted industries NEW NORTH works to attract and expand are: defense; marine; new agriculture and food manufacturing; power and energy; dairy product manufacturing; pulp, paper, and paper converting; and electrical equipment manufacturing.
The Fox Valley Workforce Development Board and the Fox Valley Technical College work with businesses in the City on workforce development and training needs. The Technical College also provides international business services. Brillion is also a member of the Fox Cities Economic Development Partnership (FCEDP), a group of economic development professionals providing assistance to the Fox Cities Regional Partnership (above); the Northeast Wisconsin Regional Economic Development Partnership (NEWREP) which works closely with NEW NORTH (above); and the Lakeshore Cluster Initiative which works to strengthen and expand existing industry clusters in the Lake Michigan region.
